Mercedes AMG took to social media sites to announce the launch of the long rumored Final Edition of the Mercedes SLS AMG. They haven’t confirmed this yet, but we have it on good authority that at the upcoming L.A. Auto Show they are honorably discharging the gullwing supercar with the Mercedes SLS Final Edition.
The teaser image kind of reveals what this Final Edition treatment is all about. If that chunky carbon fiber front spoiler is any indication, the Mercedes SLS Final Edition is getting a cool body kit, presumably with side skirts, side vents, rear diffuser, maybe even a tail spoiler. New design wheels will also be in order, plus some interior mods, like new color combos, stitching, and more carbon trims than before.
The Mercedes SLS AMG will be replaced by what we currently now as the C190 (codename). The new car can revive the SLC badge, as it will be a lot closer to the SL-class than the SLS was. It’ll be smaller, more efficient, less showy, and all in all, more of a sports car than the SLS. It’ll still get a big powerful V8 from AMG, though.
