Following some mysterious teasers and much ado, Mercedes has finally confirmed the launch of the SLS GT Final Edition at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. The swansong model for the SLS range will be joined on stage by the new Mercedes S65 AMG, both making their first public appearances.
Limited to just 350 units, the Mercedes SLS GT Final Edition will come in both coupe and convertible guises, sporting a clear carbon bonnet, new front spoiler lip, new diffuser design, standard carbon wing mirrors, Black Series-style rear wing, red brake calipers, and new design AMG wheels.
You may have noticed those are the feature we could distinguish in the pictures. Mercedes has not yet released the technical details and specs of the car, so that’s all we got for the time being.
Since its inception in 2009 the SLS AMG came in many different forms including Roadster, GT, Black Series, Electric and GT3 racing. The electric version – yet to be launched – will carry the SLS legacy after the petrol models are gone. So goodbye you big mighty German bull you, it’s been a ride!
