If you are planning to buy a new BMW 3 Series, you may want to hold your horses for now, as Mercedes is preparing a hot new C-Class for launch in early 2014. These are the first official images of the 2015 Mercedes C-Class leaked onto the web ahead of the car’s debut in Detroit next month.
As always, the C-Class is a shrunken, discount version of the S-Class of the time. You can clearly see the effect of that car’s styling on the C in the headlights, taillights, the grilles, even the profile. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but you may become the subject of the age-old joke that the only reason you bought a C is because you can’t afford an S.
Lighter, tauter and more efficient than its predecessor, the 2015 Mercedes C-Class is an impressive car. Mercedes revealed the official images of the car’s interior a while ago, and it looked a lot better than the cabin of the current gen. The car also gets a whole host of new safety and convenience feature; another positive influence of the S-Class.
Official details of the car will probably be released before the year ends, but you can expect an extensive range of engines, from a 2.2 liter diesel to a twin-turbo AMG V8.
