BMW announced a new version of the Z4 convertible sports car to be launched at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS), called the Design Pure Fusion edition. Apparently all the other names were taken. The funny thing is that despite the lofty title, BMW Z4 Pure Fusion comes with only a couple of special features.
One of those features, and the first one you’ll notice, is a brand-new color called the Sparkling Brown Metallic. It complements the bright work on the exterior and the ivory white interior very nicely. Speaking of the interior, the BMW Z4 Pure Fusion features ivory perforated leather seats with brown stitching, brown Nappa leather dashboard accenting, and dark brown wooden trim.
That is about it for the Pure Fusion Z4. BMW has not confirmed this, but chances are the treatment will only be available for the range-topping six-cylinder models. Prepare to pay an unreasonable premium over a standard Z4 if you fancy the Pure Fusion.
