As the world’s biggest motorsport and racing car show, the annual Autosport International National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, is the perfect venue for Caterham to show off their latest creations. After all, their cars are all racing machines. Some of them just happen to have a tax disc and a number plate.
At the 2014 Autosport International Caterham will have its biggest motor show lineup in recent years, headlined by the AeroSeven concept car which was revealed at the Singapore Grand Prix earlier this year. It will be the first Caaterham to be fitted with traction control, and benefit from a newly-developed Caterham Engine Management System. This car precedes another new sports car Caterham is developing jointly by Renault-Alpine.
The concept car will be joined by the SP/300.R racing and trackday car, the new Superlight R300 championship race car, the Seven 485 SV and the Caterham Kart. The entry-level three-cylinder Caterham Seven 160 will be there as well, alongside Caterham’s most powerful Seven ever, the 620R. the former has 80hp, the latter 310.
But that’s not all. As always, Caterham will also be hosting the Caterham Experience in Hall4, in which visitors can experience a thrilling passenger ride in a Seven alongside Caterham’s team of professional drivers on a bespoke indoor drift course. A few lucky ones will even get to have a go themselves.
