The AMG versions of every generation of the C-Class in the past ten or so years have always been among the most interesting cars in Mercedes lineup. They offer a sensible four-door family saloon that in fact isn’t sensible at all. It’s a complete lunatic with a big engine stuffed at the front, and all it does is chew the rear tires.

So you get why the automotive world is so giddy to see the latest incarnation of this magnificent thing, which will be based on the new 2015 Mercedes C-Class. These are the latest set of renderings created by the guys at Virtuel Car, using the latest details available about the car.

Visually, the 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG will be close to the AMG-Line C-Class we features a while back, only it’ll feature more aggressive fascia, larger wheels, and more tailpipes. In terms of the technicality, the C63 will be powered by a new 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine with close to 500 horsepower, depending on its state of tune.

The engine will be mated to the old seven-speed automatic, not even a dual-clutch. There is also a good chance the C63 will be available with 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. In short, Mercedes might be trying to take the C63’s characteristic lunacy away. Which could end up doing more harm than good.
