Jetta GLI Edition 30 600x346 at Volkswagen Jetta GLI Edition 30 Launches in America

Early in 2014 Volkswagen will release a special edition version of the Jetta GLI in the American market, celebrating 30 years of low-cost, economy motoring provided by this little car to thousands of people. It is called the Jetta GLI Edition 30, and it comes with exclusive exterior and interior appointments.

This celebratory Jetta actually comes in two trims, Edition 30 and the Edition 30 with Navigation. They both feature 18-inch “Laguna” aluminum-alloy wheels, red trim on the front grille, a trunklid-mounted spoiler, and Edition 30 badging on the outside, and V-Tex leatherette seats with red accents; red contrast stitching on the steering wheel, shifter, brake lever, and armrests; carbon-look trim inlays; Edition 30 kickplates; and floormats with red stitching on the inside.

What really sets the Volkswagen Jetta GLI Edition 30 apart from normal models, though, is the standard equipment. This version is loaded with the following features: front foglights; LED taillights; leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, brake handle, and shift knob; Premium VIII touchscreen radio with SiriusXM® Satellite Radio; and Bluetooth® connectivity. The Edition 30 with Navigation adds: Keyless access with push-button start; the RNS® 315 touchscreen navigation system; a rearview camera; LED daytime running lights; and Bi-Xenon headlights with the Adaptive Front-lighting System.

The Jetta GLI Edition 30 can be had with 2.0 liter TSI or the newer 1.8 T engines, and four colors including Deep Black Metallic, Pure White, Tornado Red, and Reflex Silver Metallic. Pricing will be revealed closer to launch.
