Volkswagen released the pricing and details of the new Caddy BlueMotion panel van prior to its launch in the British market. Pitched as the most fuel-efficient vehicle in its class, the Caddy Blue is powered by 1.6-litre TDI common rail direct injection engine that develops 102 PS and 250 Nm of torque, and it starts from £14,600.
That frugal little engine is not the only fuel-saving measure featured in the 2014 VW Caddy BlueMotion. The car also has Cruise Control, Hill-Hold Assist, Start/Stop and Energy Recuperation, 15″ Reduced Rolling Resistance Tyres, 15″ Reduced Rolling Resistance Tyres, and bespoke ECU software – all part of the BlueMotion treatment.
As a result, this Caddy returns 61.4 mpg on the combined cycle and emits just 119 g/km of CO2. That means you can travel over 800 miles on a single 60-liter tank. That is London to Milan without refueling.
VW Caddy BlueMotion is distinguished over normal models via multi-spoke 15-inch wheel covers, body-coloured side guard strips and a black and blue coloured trim fabric.
