Honda NSX is one of the most coveted and sought after modern classic sports cars. That alone would guarantee a good sale for this mint black example you see here. But it has a lot more going for it, as it a property of the legendary Formula One champion, Ayrton Senna.

The 1992 Honda NSX was bought for Ayrton by Antonio Carlos de Almeida Braga, close personal friend, manager and mentor of Senna, for use at his holiday home in Portugal. Sadly, Senna passed away in 1994 as a result of a high speed crash at Imola. So besides being a Senna car, this NSX is also in perfect condition because it was rarely used.

Ayrton Senna’s 1992 Honda NSX remained at Braga’s home where it was not allowed to be touched or driven by anyone, until 1996 when it was sold a buyer who kept it only a short time before being purchased by the current owner seventeen years ago. The car has only covered 31,800 miles in total.

This NSX is specced-up for Ayrton Senna, who had a hand in development of the car when he was driving for McLaren. Honda was, and from 2015 will be again, an engine supplier for the British team.

Senna’s NSX will go under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions’ Race Retro & Classic Car Sale on the 22nd and 23rd of February. It is expected to fetch between £75,000 to £85,000.
