German luxury car tuner DMC announced the launch of a new special edition version of its Continental GT styling package, called the Duro, for China. The original kit proved so popular in China that they decided to treat the customer with a more refined version, simply called the China Edition.
The Chinese version of DMC Bentley GT is surprisingly subtle and dignified in its design and choice of colors. If we’re honest, we were expecting something insanely vulgar in gold or perhaps pink. But no. You get a nicely designed and quite discreet styling kit, and a set of cool black wheels.
Available for the 2012+ Continental GT models, the package includes a carbon fiber front bumper with aggressive intake design and an extended lip spoiler, carbon fiber winglets instead of side skirts – DMC thinks they look cool and we think they are right, rear bumper in carbon fiber with integrated diffuser, and optional rear spoiler.
Although the choice of wheels is entirely yours, DMC recommends a set of 22-inch diamond-forged rims, preferably in matte black, shod with 295/25/22 tires.
The treatment is not just visual, as DMC Bentley GT also gets a substantial power boost – thanks to titanium exhaust, sport air filters and optimized electronics – to 672 horsepower and 780 Nm of torque. That enables the car to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 325 km/h.
