Following the debut of the original Mercedes Vision Gran Turismo concept, a virtual car designed specifically for the Gran Turismo 6 video game, Mercedes-Benz has now unveiled a Racing Series version of the car. It is now available in the game, but we’ve been told you have to complete some seasonal challenges to obtain it.
We’re not video gamers, but we would sit on the couch the entire day, driving around a virtual Nurburgring in order to acquire the Mercedes Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series just because it looks so cool. This design – well, the original one, to be more precise – proved so popular that an American tuner announced a conversion kit for the Mercedes SLS based on it.
The Racing Series version of the Vision GT looks significantly different than the standard version, what with all the racing paraphernalia, namely the large rear wing, fitted to it. It also features a heavy dose of red accenting to look hotter.
At this point when introducing a new car we usually give you some performance numbers. That is not the case here, because the performance of the Mercedes Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series is measured really in your ability to keep your finger on the throttle button, and your eyes on the screen.
