The good thing about popular internet videos is that although they are usually very short you know that there will be a thousand remixes and homages that follow the original, giving you almost the same viewing pleasure. Here’s a cover of Ken Block’s Gymkhana 6, created in a much smaller scale using radio-controlled cars.

This is a work of the maker of off-road radio-controlled cars Hobby Products International (HPI), who evidently went to an enormous length to recreate the location and stunts of Gymkhana 6 in their micro version of the original clip. You’d be amazed at how perfectly they execute the drifts with that RC Fiesta:

Amazingly, the RC car you see here is four-wheel-drive! It has a belt drive system that distributes the power of its brushless motor between all four wheels. And with a waterproof steering servo it can be driven through all sort of stuff without getting stumped. So yes, HPI’s efforts have not been all in vain. This clip serves as a good marketing tool for years to come.
