BBR Mazda MX 5 600x398 at BBR Mazda MX 5 Turbo Offers Up to 300bhp

Leading Mazda tuner Brodie Brittain Racings (BBR) is now offering two new stages of their turbocharger tuning kits for the Mazda MX-5 with up to 302 bhp. They have also announced DIY kits for both the UK market and overseas, making it easier for the MX-5 owners to spruce up their car, which to be honest suffers from lack of oomph in its standard tune.

BBR Mazda MX-5 DIY kits are available for Mk3/3.5/3.75 MX-5 1.8 / 2.0-litre 2005-2015 (NC) models. The package features a lightweight aluminium high flow intercooler pipework along with an efficient front mounted intercooler, designed to keep the engine bay as stock-looking as possible.

To get the best result though, you are advised to let BBR pros take care of the installation. They have two stages of fresh tune that unlocks new levels of performance. Stage One includes upgrades such as BBR Garrett GT series ball bearing turbocharger, steel turbo manifold, custom silicon piping, carbon fiber heat shield and high flow air box and intercooler. It results in 262 bhp when fitted to the 2.0 liter engine, and 230 bhp with the 1.8 liter units.

Stage Two includes all the parts of the stage one, but adds K&N Air Filter, NGK Iridium Spark Plugs, BBR / Exedy uprated clutch, and BBR turbo downpipe back stainless steel performance exhaust. This one offers a meaty 302 bhp for the 2.0 liter and 260 for the 1.8 liter engine.

BBR Mazda MX-5 turbo packages have won the praise of media and public alike for their power, responsiveness, and the fact that they make an already fun car even more enjoyable.
