Being an M impersonator does not mean the BMW X5 with M Performance Parts is rubbish. Quite the contrary, this M Performance business is quite a posh treatment, boasting a real carbon fiber body kit including mirror caps, front splitter, rear diffuser and rear aero flaps.
What’s more, you get high-gloss finish for the kidney grilles and double-spoke 21-inch wheels with performance tires. They also offer some M decals for the rocker panels which make you look like a door. Best avoid those decals.
The interior mods in this M Performance Parts treatment include Alcantara steering wheel with carbon fiber accents as well as a carbon fiber cover for the gear selector lever. Steel pedals are also available.
BMW X5 M Performance Parts package also includes a power kit for the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six in the X5 xDrive35i. With new ECU map, recalibrated throttle and sport exhaust, this kit adds 20 more horsepower (for a total 320 hp) and makes the car feel sharper. Also available are powerful M brakes with six- piston calipers and 19-inch steel rotors.
