The new Lamborghini Huracan super car is officially a hit, as the car maker says they have received over 700 pre-orders since they revealed it to the potential customers roughly a month ago. This is hardly a surprise, given the popularity of the Huracan’s predecessor, the Gallardo.

That car was the best-selling Lamborghini product ever, and the new model follows the same exact path. So it is only natural for it to be a success. The Huracan has pretty much the same recipe as the Gallardo, only more spice.

The car has a wide and low profile, it looks means and angry, and it is one of the most usable and easiest to drive super cars, thanks to a combination of dual-clutch transmission and four-wheel-drive. It is still hugely fast though, as anything with a 5.2 liter, 610 horsepower V10 engine would undoubtedly be fast. Lamborghini Huracan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 325 km/h.

The Huracan (Hurricane), named after a fighting bull of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed, will make its public debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
