The new Mercedes AMG Coupe sports car, allegedly called the SLC, is the most highly anticipated car to be launched later this year. The replacement for the SLS is already so popular that there are at least ten different speculative renderings of it available on the web. And here’s a brand-new one, which we should mention is also one of the best so far.
Based on the latest reports and spyshots, designer Theophilus Chin came up with these rendered images of the Mercedes SLC, showing a traditional coupe body style with a short truck and long bonnet, short overhangs, low roof, and very steeply-raked windscreen that bring on the low-slung look.
This SLC is rendered based on the new Mercedes S-Class Coupe, as you can clearly see from the shape of the front and rear-end. Chacnes are the real thing is a substantially different – it is a limited edition luxury sports car, after all – but as it is, the S-based car looks pretty good.
Mercedes SLC AMG Coupe is said to come with a new turbocharged AMG V8 engine with around 450 horsepower in its standard base tune. It will put more emphasize on lightness, agility, and handling than outright speed. And that makes it a proper rival for the Porsche 911.
