BMW is already outlining what sort of customers they want for the new i8 hybrid sports car, as they commission a set of tailor-made Louis Vuitton luggage for it. The set comprises two travel bags, a business case and a garment bag, designed to fit the i8’s interior space.
The Louis Vuitton luggage for BMW i8 features an understated carbon-black finish to match the car, but thanks to the chequered Damier pattern and a laser-etched Louis Vuitton signature, there will no mistaking the maker. Dyed natural leather handles, leather name tags and the iconic Louis Vuitton padlock are among the other exclusive features.
Just like the futuristic sports car, the Vuitton luggage set is made from lightweight yet extremely sturdy high-tech materials. What’s more, each individual bag is designed for a specific space inside the boot and the cabin of the i8.
The Weekender GM i8, with both hand and shoulder carry straps, is custom-designed to go into the boot, while theGarment Bag i8is a perfect fit for the rear shelf of the BMW i8. The sturdy hardshell Business Case i8 which is also ideal for carrying laptops, matches the shape of the rear seats; while the smallWeekender PM i8 is designed to rest on its surface.
Louis Vuitton Luggage for BMW i8 can be ordered from LV outlets in Munich, Milan, London, Paris, Moscow, Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, starting from April 2014. Pricing is yet to be revealed.
