Volkswagen released the images of an updated version of the Scirocco Coupe, set for debut at the upcoming 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The refreshment will enable the Scriocco to soldier on for a few more years, while VW figures out how to come up with a replacement for it.
In its new version, the compact sports coupe benefits from a number of design changes inspired by the latest Golf GTI. They include a new front bumper, which to be honest looks too much like the Golf, revised side skirts and rear bumper.
VW Scirocco Facelift also gets new wheel designs and LED daytimers, as well as an upgraded interior featuring a new touchscreen infotaiment/navigation screen.
Going sale in Europe in summer, VW Scirocco Facelift comes with a choice of four petrol engines and two diesel, with power outputs ranging from 125 horspeower in the base model to 280 horsepower in the range-topping R variant.
The R version of the new Scirocco also features a distinctive body kit, larger wheels, and mush sportier interior with bucket seats and flat-bottomed steering wheel.
