Volkswagen is now accepting orders for the new, updated 2014 Polo hatchback in the UK. On this occasion the German automaker released pricing details and specs of the new car, offering something for everyone. 2014 Volkswagen Polo is priced from £11,100 to £19,715.
The new Polo feature updated styling over the previous generation, but it is hardly an exciting proposition design-wise. What the Polo excels at is value. All models in the UK market come as standard with ESC electronic stability control, Hill Hold and an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. What’s more, you get 5.0-inch colour touchscreen, Dab Radio, and manual air conditioning. Not a bad deal for 11 grand.
The engine lineup for the 2014 Volkswagen Polo includes two three-cylinder 1.0-litre MPI units with 60 or 75 PS; two 1.2-litre four-cylinder TSI engines with 90 or 110 PS and a 1.4-litre TSI engine with cylinder deactivation (ACT) developing 150 PS, plus two new three-cylinder 1.4-litre diesel engines, with 75 and 90 PS.
As for the notable options, all UK models offer Bluetooth telephone connectivity and USB media-in, while a navigation system for the 6.5-inch full-colour touchscreen is optional from SE trim for £700.
