The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer is undoubtedly one of the least interesting to look at the German manufacturer makes today. Apparently they think so too, because they came up with a M Sport package for it. The kit tries to enhance the aesthetics, and succeeds, to some extent.
The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer M Sport is distinguished over normal models thanks to a number of changes including a full M front apron featuring a sport bumper and sport grille, side skirts, gloss black detailing, rear bumper with chrome tailpipes, and 17 or 18-inch M wheels. What’s more, the suspension has been lowered, so the whole thing looks sportier.
The M treatment continues inside the cabin, with a sport leather-wrapped steering wheel, M upholstery for the seats, anthracite roof liner and M door sills. What the M kit does then is mix the Active Tourer’s practicality with a bit of style and panache.
The M Package tailored for the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer is not a performance-oriented program, so you won’t get any power upgrades. That means you have to make do with the either the 136-hp 1.5 liter three-cylinder, or the 2.0 liter four-pot which comes in two 150 and 230 horsepower tune.
