Following the tragic death of Paul Walker in a Porsche Carrera GT accident last year, everybody thought his character would be retired in the next installment of the hugely successful franchise, The Fast and The Furious. As it turns out, the producers came to the conclusion that F&F wouldn’t be the same without Brian O’Conner. And they’ve come up with a solution.

The solution is a CGI Paul Walker! This might sound a bit odd, but thanks to four body doubles with physiques similar to Paul’s, and very complicated computer witchcraft, it seems that the Universal Studios is going to undertake the daunting task of bringing Walker back to life.

The idea is that the actors would play O’Conner’s scenes normally, and then CGI experts would replace the face and the voice with Paul Walker’s. If they go ahead with the project, this will be a first for the movie industry. No other film has ever featured CGI actors, a least not to this magnitude.

Will a CGI Paul Walker be able to deliver a realistic performance? Will the fans accept a CGI Paul Walker as the star of their favorite film? Guess we have to wait to find out. Fast and Furious 7 will be released in April 2015.
