These are, allegedly, the first official pictures of the new 2015 Audi TT, leaked out a few hours ahead of the planned unveiling. We don’t blame you if you feel disappointed by the way the new TT looks, but in fairness, Audi had to be careful not to scare off the car’s customer base with radical changes.
The TT is a design classic. You don’t change such a thing, you just tweak it. So the new Audi TT still has the unique curvatious profile, and the same sort of head and taillights. The lights now benefit from LED technology, and the new corporate look grille is finished in chrome. This car is probably the S-trim version, seeing as it also has a contrasting rear diffuser. So the chrome teeth might not be present on the base models.
We also have confirmed information about the interior of 2015 Audi TT. It has a minimalistic design with most of the buttons and knobs concentrated in certain areas, which results in a very neat and clean dashboard. A customizable TFT instrument panel is among the highlights of the new TT’s cabin.
As for the engines, expect the same range of four-cylinder engine with and without turbochargers. The TT S is said to be getting the 300 horsepower 2.0 liter TFSI unit, which means the next TT RS is going to be a beasty little thing.
