Hennessey Performance, as you may know, recently achieved a very remarkable feat, beating the top speed record of Bugatti Veyron Super Sport with a Venom GT, setting a new record of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h). That is, of course, something to be celebrated. And they are going to celebrate it hard with a special edition version of the Venom GT.  

The special car is simply called the Hennessey Venom GT World’s Fastest Edition, which goes to show Hennessey’s love of simplicity. That’s one of the reasons, we think, they are so successful in their business.

That said, the Venom World’s Fastest Edition seems like it could have used a few more ‘special’ features. By the looks of things, the car only gets a unique paint job, featuring a white base and a pair of red and blue stripes – probably a tribute to the American flag. And that’s about it. No further technical upgrades or extra equipment have been announced.

Not that it matters, of course, as the Hennessey Venom GT World’s Fastest Edition is limited to just three units, and all of them have already been sold for $1.25 million.
