As per usual, whenever a brand-new version of an important car is released, UK’s oldest car magazine Autocar send their best guy out to try it and report to the readers and viewers what it’s like. This time it’s the turn of the new generation 2014 Mercedes C-Class, and the man trusted with the job is Steve Sutcliffe.
Now, Steve is a professional driver with great driving skills, and he has a way with words that make his reviews quite interesting to watch. He’s not, however, known for his sense of rumors. That said, the C-Class has a couple of features that really brings out the fun side of Mr. Sutcliffe. The model he drives is a C250 Bluetec.
Regardless of those rather pointless gimmicks, the rest of the new C-Class is in every way better than the car it replaced. But still, it is far from the best in the segment. If what you are after is handling, your best bet is still the BMW 3 Series. If you want proper technology features, Audi has the superior product. And if you value, you should probably look at VW’s offerings in this class. However, if you want a car that offers a bit of everything, the C-Class seems like a safe bet.
