Yuasa Racing Honda Civic Tourer BTCC 0 600x399 at Yuasa Racing Honda Civic Tourer BTCC Revealed in Full

Following an early preview a while ago, Honda Yuasa Racing has now released more pictures of their Honda Civic Tourer BTCC race car ahead of its track debut at the end of this month. This will be the first estate car to race in the British Touring Car Championship in a decade.

So it seems BTCC is going to regain its sparkle this year, as many different makes with many different cars have signed up for the busiest grid in history. What make BTCC great is that it gives you an opportunity to see showroom cars swapping paint on the race track. In recent year’s it’s been just Chevy and SEAT, and occasionally Vaxuhall, but this year the variety is much greater.

Yuasa’s Honda Civic Tourer BTCC will be the only estate car on the 2014 grid, and it will be joined by the Civic hatchback to represent the Japanese brand in Britain’s most popular motorsport. It is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine developing over 300 horsepower. The BTCC campaign will also help with the car’s marketing plans in the UK. This is, after all, a brand-new model.

The driver lineup for the Civic Tourer BTCC includes Touring Car legends Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal.
