BMW announced the launch of a new Track Handling package for the 2-Series in the U.S. market. Available only for the 228i model, the package enhances the handling characteristics of the sporty coupe and can be ordered for both manual and automatic models.

The ingredients of BMW 228i Track Handling Package include M-specific adaptive suspension and sport brakes, 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and variable sport steering system. These bits will improve the handling of pretty much any car. They are going to work wonders with the 228i’s already brilliant driving feel. You get M235i levels of control for a lot less money.

BMW 228i is powered by the firm’s magnificent 2.9 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which is used in a wide variety of BMW models. It makes 240 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque, and returns up to 36 mph with the automatic transmission. Performance-wise, you can do 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and reach 130 mph tops.

Available with both the 6-speed manual or the 8-speed automatic transmission, BMW 228i Track Handling Package will be ready to order form July.
