Following a couple of previews, we finally get to see the new Citroen DS 6WR in all its glory as the car makes its debut at the Beijing Auto Show. Not that it matters of course, because the 6WR is a China-only model and won’t be sold in Europe. Still, it’s a pretty interesting bit of kit.

Citroen DS 6WR shows what a SUV interpretation of the DS line would look like, and it’s rather nice. While most cars in their segment feature dull straight lines and box shaped profile, the 6WR has all kinds of curves and quirks in its body. It is in fact a slightly tamed version of the aptly named Wild Rubis concept. In true DS fashion, the 6WR features a combination of vibrant colors, chrome, and gloss black accents on the exterior.

The car is fairly compact for a SUV, measuring 4.55 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, but offers decent interior space with a wheelbase of nearly 2.8 meters. It rides on 19-inch wheels as standard, and these wheels have a very unique design, as they play a major part in the car’s styling.

Engine-wise, Citroen DS 6WR launches in China with a choice of a 160 PS e-THP or a 200 PS THP. They are both connected to a six-speed automatic transmission, and can be paired with optional four-wheel-drive.
