It is a very big promotional opportunity, which is why Ken Block’s sponsors decided he should join in. They hired soccer player Neymar Jr. and together with Ken they created something called Footkhana.

Granted, Footkhana seems like a pointless spectacle. But in it we get to see Ken Block do massive burnouts and powerslides in his purpose-built Ford Fiesta. So you still watch it. You won’t be disappointed.

With the Gymkhana now gradually getting old and losing its pop, Ken Block is looking for new ways to spice up this thing that he invented. There is only so much drifting and sliding you can do with a car, so he is more and more relying on sideshows, like bringing celebrities in from other sports, or filming in exotic places. That said, his field of motorsport is still far from boring.
