Land Rover is previewing the new generation Discovery UV at the New York Auto Show these days with the incredible Vision Concept. They have now confirmed a production version of this concept car, and better yet, announced that it will launch with a Sport version.
So the Land Rover Discovery Sport will be the first new member of Disco family, and while it probably won’t get all of the amazing technology features of the concept version, LR promises it will look very similar to it in terms of styling.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer: “I am proud to confirm the nameplate that will make Discovery a family of vehicles for the first time. It will be called Discovery Sport and will go on sale in 2015. This will be the most versatile and capable SUV in its segment and is the first expression of the Discovery Vision Concept unveiled here in New York.”
The new Land Rover Discovery Sport will go on sale in 2015, offering awesome off-road capabilities and more premium features than the current version.
