These are some of the first real-world shots of the new Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe, and they confirm the car looks just as good in the metal it did in the press pictures. The car was spotted recently out and about in Stuttgart, wearing a milky white paint job and no camo.
Still, you can tell this Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe is a pre-production model, as it is missing some body trim pieces and all-important badges. The car is set for a world debut to much pomp and circumstance at the New York Auto Show later this month.
Even though underneath, the S63 Coupe is identical to its four-door brother, the styling is almost all-new. Mercedes designers have got this one just right, both size-wise and in terms of the looks. The car looks big, yet sleek, and sporty, yet luxurious. The CL would be proud of what has replaced it.
Under the bonnet, the Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe features a 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 engine pumping out 580 horsepower and over 900 nm of torque. The car accelerates form 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds (3.9 with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive), and has a limited top speed of 250 km/h.
