It’s been a while since we last heard about Smart Fortwo. Turns out they were laying low, preparing the next special edition model while working on an entirely new generation of the car. The new model is a few years away, so for now you have to make do with this, the Fortwo Grandstyle edition.
Grandstyle is a big name for this 70-horsepower urban runabout, especially as it doesn’t get anything particularly ‘grand’ in this new iteration. On the outside, Smart Fortwo Grandstyle features black 15” three-double-spoke alloy wheels, headlamps with titanium-coloured surrounds and subtle ‘grandstyle’ logos in the door mirror triangles. You also have a choice of five exterior and tridion colours.
The main highlights of the interior include Black Artico upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, standard Audio system Navigation Highline, and the optional new Comfort Package that adds heated seats and electrically-adjustable and heated door mirrors.
Smart Fortwo Grandstyle comes as a coupe with a panoramic roof, or cabrio with a fully automatic soft top, and with 71 bhp mhd or 84 bhp turbocharged petrol engines. Prices start from £10,330 I the UK, and you can finance one for £99 per month for the 71 bhp version, or £109/m for the 84 bhp.
