Following the debut of the first production prototype version of the 2014 Callaway Corvette Stingray at the NCM Bash, the American tuning firm released further details on the specifications of the package. The work is almost done on the Callaway Corvette, and they are now busy with durability testing and validation, and performance tests.
Based on the standard LT1 V8 model, the Callaway Corvette Stingray features a supercharger system complete with a high-flow intake system, low restriction exhausts, and a cooling system with a unique vented hood that is also a styling element.
The first performance numbers Callaway has got out of this system are 620 horsepower and at least 600 lb-ft of torque, which means their car rivals Chevy’s own Z06.
Besides the performance upgrade, 2014 Callaway Corvette Stingray also gets some visual and interior upgrades, including special badging, door sill panels, underhood build plaque, key fob, and embroidered floor mats. Later on, suspension and brake packages, as well as body kit and further interior upgrades will be available. But as it is, the package will set you back around $23,000.
