Audi played it safe with the new generation TT and decided to go for evolution rather than revolution in terms of design. So the new model only gets, in essence, a large new grille, slightly revised bumpers, and some new lights. That makes it easy guessing what the next TT RS will look like.

In order to speculate on the looks of the 2016 Audi TT RS you need to take the TTS, flare the arches a bit, out a black honeycomb grille up front preferably with chrome surrounds, a new spoiler lip, side skirts, and maybe a small rear spoiler. In true Audi RS fashion, the mirror caps, along with some of the aero bits, should be finished in shiny silver. And there’s your lot.

That is exactly what X-Tomi Design has done to the TTS to come up with this rendering of the new TT RS. It looks pretty much spot on, unless Audi has some sort of surprise in store that we don’t know about yet.

As for the technicalities, it is not likely for the TT RS to get the same old 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine. 2014 is the year of high-powered 2.0 liter turbo engines. In any case, you can expect upwards of 350 horsepower from the TT RS, and blistering performance with the help of a dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel-drive.
