The first details of the BMW M5 30th Anniversary Edition model have hit the web, hinting at a substantial upgrade over the standard version. BMW has planned not only special visual features to set this model apart, they have also gone bananas with the performance parts.

According to the leaked info, BMW M5 30th Anniversary will come with a Frozen Dark Silver Metallic paint job exclusive to this model, teamed up with jet black 20-inch wheels, special Anniversary badging, and dark chrome trims accents. The visual treatment also includes dark chrome tailpipes and 30th Anniversary door sills.

Inside, BMW designers have made great use of Alcantara, as it not only covers the steering wheel, it also complements the Merino leather upholstery on the seats. Dark aluminum trims and more special edition badges are also included.

The best part of the BMW M5 30th Anniversary model is the mechanicals. The car comes with the Competition Pack which brings with it revised suspension and electronics, both of which are welcome changes, as the 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8 engine is boosted to 600 horsepower and over 700 Nm of torque.
