Last week BMW celebrated the launch of the new M3 Sedan by inviting a large number of journalists to Portugal to have a go in it. This week is BMW M4’s week, and what better way to start it than watching it go very, very sideways.
Sporting the company’s official racing colors, this drifting BMW M4 is driven by DTM hotshot Martin Tomczyk. In some of the shots he is joined by former F1 star Timo Glock. They are at Algarve International Circuit.
BMW M4 is the coupe version of the M3, and apart from the number of doors, it is identical to its sedan sibling. Power comes from a turbocharged in-line six-cylinder unit, developing 430 horsepower. It can be had with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch transmission. Needless to say, the car also comes with a whole host of M features such as suspension, brakes, trick differential, aero kit and interior appointments.
