It has been a long while since Mitsubishi launched an exciting production model, and now that they finally have, it’s a virtual one. The Gran Turismo fever is affecting all car makers big and small, and Mitsu, not to be outdone by others, has come up with the car you see here for the game.

The Gran Turismo-bound concept car is a visually tweaked version of the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV concept they bring to every motor show they go. As the name suggests, it’s an electric hybrid, but one that looks like a futuristic racing machine. That makes it perfect for video gaming.

Mitsubishi XR-PHEV GT6 version gets a wild body kit with extra wide fenders, large aerodynamic parts, and aggressive fascia. It sits on 20-inch wheels and uses a four-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed dual clutch transmission to deliver the power of its hybrid powertrain to the ground. If only Mitsubishi could launch a production version of this car so easily!
