Following an uninteresting teaser about some LEDs, Mercedes-Benz dropped today the official details and picture of the new-look CLS. The 2015 model is not wildly different than the current version and only gets some subtle styling changes. That’s good, because there is still a lot of life left in this design.

As mentioned before, the biggest highlight of the 2015 Mercedes CLS Facelift is its new MULTIBEAM headlights which are not only powerful and efficient, they are also intelligent and provide optimum lighting regardless of the driving condition. They also have a big impact on the way the car looks.

The new LEDs combined with the restyled front bumper bring the CLS closer to the rest of Mercedes family. The shape of the bumper with its signature air intakes makes up Merc’s current corporate look. The rest of the body, including its long bonnet, narrow window line with frameless side windows and dynamically downwards sloping roof, remain pretty much intact.

The cabin of 2015 Mercedes CLS refreshed as well, but to honest the previous model was so good there really wasn’t much need to change anything. So they are just offering an updated infotainment screen, a cool three-spoke sports steering wheel, and new trims and colors.

A new connectivity feature offered for the 2015 Mercedes CLS in Europe is the “Mercedes connect me”. With this service Mercedes-Benz emergency call, accident, maintenance and breakdown management are available via a standard-fit KOM module with its own SIM card fitted in the vehicle.

As before, the new CLS is offered with five engines, including the new CLS 220 BlueTEC four-cylinder diesel, CLS 250 BlueTEC, CLS 350 BlueTEC, CLS 400 petrol with the new twin-turbo V6, and the mighty AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo in the CLS 63 variant. Standard transmission is a 7G-TRONIC PLUS, but you can also choose 9G?TRONIC as an optional extra. All these versions can be had as a four-door coupe or a Shooting Brake.
