Something truly extraordinary happened in Thailand the other day, involving a Lamborghini Gallardo, a businessman, and a Buddha amulet. As you can see in the pictures, the car had a huge accident and split in half, but amazingly, the driver waked away without so much as a scratch.
The driver, a 40-year-old businessman, was travelling at around 150 km/h on a wet road when his Lamborghini Gallardo, despite having all-wheel-drive, lost all grip and traction and smashed into a tree, causing the vehicle to split clean in half.
Now, what’s interesting about all this is that the drive had visited a temple before he embarks on this journey, where he was given a Buddha amulet for long-distance trips. That amulet was apparently a high-end one belonging to a highly revered Buddhist monk, and it apparently did a fine job of protecting its wearer.
The message this whole incident carries is simple: if you are rich you can get valuable amulets and basically buy Buddha’s protection. Then you can act as stupidly as you want. The big guy will take care of it!
