This year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed Jaguar and Land Rover will both unveil special new models prepared by their joint Special Operations division, which is a task force responsible for bespoke and limited edition models.
Jaguar’s car is yet to be announced, but it will be probably a version of the F-Type. Land Rover has already let us know that they are bringing a hot new Range Rover Sport RS, which judging by this new teaser video they have released, sound like a sports car:
Powering the Range Rover Sport RS is a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 engine virtually identical to the unit you find in the F-Type R coupe. It punches 550 horsepower which is distributed between all four wheels via an 8-speed transmission and couple of trick diffs. The RS is said to be capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in under around 4.8 seconds.
