German tuner Mcchip-DKR is a chip tuning specialist. They can work wonders with a few lines of codes and significantly increase the output of any engine by fiddling with its ECU. With this Range Rover Sport, though, they went a step further and introduced some physical upgrades as well.
Rover Sport by Mcchip-DKR gets two stages of tune for its supercharged 5.0 liter V8 engine, which in standard factory form makes 500 PS. Stage 1 includes only electronic upgrades good for an extra 30 horsepower, bringing the total to 530 PS and 665 Nm of torque. The top speed is increased from 225 km/h to 250 km/h. Cost: 1,599 Euros.
Stage 2 gets the chi tuning, plus a complete set of sport exhaust system which replaces the stock units from the end of the headers right down to the mufflers. The supercharger is also enhanced using a bespoke Mcchip pulley. The result is 560 PS and 700 Nm, and a top speed of 265 km/h. Cost: 3,469 Euros.
With the stage 2 kit installed, Range Rover Sport by Mcchip-DKR becomes faster and more powerful than the upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR which recently popped in an astonishing 8:14s lap time at the Nurburgring.
