Even though Jeep Cherokee SRT8 is an average car in its class and outwitted by almost its rivals in terms of performance, refinement, and features, it is still a very loveable car. Maybe it’s the Jeep name, or the fact that it is the cheapest 480-hp SUV out there. In any case, the car deserves more attention.

The guys from Forgiato Wheels has given Jeep Cherokee SRT8 that attention, and fitted it with a set of their fine 24″ Forgiato Taglios wheels, usually reserved for Escalades and G-Wagens. The staggering size of the rims and their unique design turns the SRT8 from an inconspicuous family bus into a real head-turner. Granted, the red paint job and those Brembo calipers help a lot, but still.

Jeep Cherokee SRT8 is powered by 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engine delivering 468 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque. The car has fantastic performance for its size, with a 0 to 60 mph time of 5 seconds and top speed of 155 mph. But as mentioned, almost all other hot SUVs are faster than it. The G63, for example, does the 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.
