Lamborghini already has a department dealing with motorsport activities of their clients called Squadra Corse. But they realized they should probably first teach the clients how to drive fast and then organize track events for them. So they launched Lamborghini Accademia in North America.
To debut at Laguana Seca this September, Lamborghini Accademia is a performance driving school that provides Lamborghini clients with intense driving courses on the track. This year the Accademia focuses only on the LP-610 Huracan, which is already selling like hot cakes and can therefore bring in a lot of clients eager to learn how to exploit its performance fully.
Skills you will learn in Lamborghini Accademia one-day event include slalom, acceleration, braking, drifting and section training in the morning, and full-course lapping, utilizing one-on-one and video coaching in the afternoon. Come nighttime you will receive a certificate from Lamborghini Squadra Corse.
Learning professional driving skills aside, Lamborghini Accademia sounds like great fun. Following Laguna Seca, the Accademia will host anther event in Hockenheim in October. There will be more events in 2015, to be announced later.
