Brushed chrome seems to be the new trend in wrapping as we are seeing more and more of it these days. This Mercedes SLS, spotted in China, is rocking what appears to be baby blue chrome brushed, and it looks utterly unique.
Up close, the brushed finish looks kind of deep and textured, but it is when the sunlight hits it that it shows its best feature, which is a remarkable shine with hues of purple spread all over the body. This finish doesn’t shine anything as ghastly as normal chrome jobs, but still, it is not what you call understated, either.
We should also talk a little about the Mercedes SLS that is sporting this one of a kind wrap, especially as it is now out of production and consigned to the history books. Soon to be replaced by the Mercedes AMG GT, the SLS had a short but glorious life during which time it spawned various versions including Roadster, GT, GT3 and Black Series.
The standard SLS as seen here is powered by the brilliant M156 AMG 6.2 liter naturally-aspirated engine with 563 bhp. It does 0 to 100 in under 4 seconds and can reach a top speed of over 300 km/h.
