If you are determined to get a three-wheeler but Morgan’s famous offering is too hippy for you, there is a new kid on the block and it’s looking good. It is called the Polaris Slingshot, it is cool and powerful, and the best thing is it starts from just $20,000.
Polaris Slingshot three-wheeler bike is powered by a 173 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque 2.4 liter GM EcoTec engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. That is good power to lug about only 1725 lbs, which is what the Slingshot weighs.
It may not look it, but Polaris Slingshot is a serious and sophisticated bit of kit, boasting a carbon reinforced drive belt, double wishbone front suspension, and power steering. If you go for the range-topping X model (priced from $24,000), you also get waterproof infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth, LED lights, ABS and traction control, even a backup camera!
Size-wise, Polaris Slingshot measures 149.6 inches long, 77.6 inches wide and 51.9 inches tall, with a 105-inch wheelbase. The best part is the ground clearance, which is only 5 inches, giving you a go-kart feeling.
