A few days ahead of its world debut at the Paris Motor Show, the all-new 2015 Audi TT Roadster rears its head in a series of official photos. The sporty new convertible brings with it aggressive looks and a fabulous new cabin, plus a range of rather exciting engines.
The biggest difference between the Audi TT Roadster ad its coupe variant, obviously, is the soft top roof which is available in black, titanium gray or jive and goes up and down in just 10 seconds and can be operated on the move up to 50 km/h. The lack of roof gives the TT Roadster a more appealing appearance than its hardtop sibling.
Despite being a convertible, the 2015 Audi TT Roadster is still a fairly lightweight car at 1,320 kg, mainly thanks to the sophisticated MQB platform and the use of aluminum and magnesium in the roof structure. The new TT Roadster is 3 kg lighter than its predecessor.
Engine-wise, the 2015 Audi TT Roadster can be had with the 2.0-liter TFSI with 230 PS and 370 Nm of torque while the TT S variant gets a gets a beefed up version of the same motor with 310 PS and 380 Nm of torque. There is also a 2.0-liter TDI diesel version for eco-minded users with 180 PS and 380 Nm.
