Hyundai’s partnership with Bisimoto enters its third year and as the partnership grows stronger, so does their thirst for horsepower. For the 2014 SEMA Show Bisimoto is working on a 708 horsepower Hyundai Sonata which will be the craziest car ever form a Korean manufacturer.

Interestingly though, the main purpose of this project is not to show off the crazy power and performance of the car, but rather to promote the benefits of Flex-Fuel. The 708-hp Sonata in this build benefits from flex-fuel technology to make that insane power.

Bisimoto is working on the 2.4-liter “Theta-II” 4-cylinder engine and by working we mean throwing most of it away. The new stuff fitted to the motor include forged pistons, connecting rods, a high-revving valve train and camshafts, a high-boost turbocharger, and a fast-burning, flex-fuel system.

Visually, the SEMA-bound Hyundai Sonata features a Bisimoto front splitter and aero package, Fifteen52 18-inch aluminum wheels and Burns stainless exhaust system, plus a special wrap. Below is the full list of all the modifications planned for the car:
