Miami-based tuner MC Customs has a lot of celebrity clients, most of them professional athletes. It is the same anywhere in the world: athletes like their cars flashy. Which is why when Seattle Mariners’ second baseman Robinson Cano sent his Ferrari to MC for a visual makeover, they knew the only way to go is gold.
If you don’t like gold wraps and find them extremely ghastly, then you are going to hate this. But if, like Mr. Cano, you are crazy about them, then this is one of the best you will ever see. Cano’s Gold Ferrari 458 Spider looks pretty cool under the sunlight, although that red interior does not really match the rest of the car.
A Black interior treatment would have worked a lot better for this Gold Ferrari 458, as seen with the blacked-out taillights and mirror caps, and of course those black Vellano wheels. It’s all about the contrast.
We hope someday some psychologists conduct an experiment to find out while athletes, regardless of their sport, have such huge crush on shiny objects. The interesting part is the more successful they are, the shiner their toys are!
