Volkswagen has already prepared a concept car for the next IAA Frankfurt Motor Show and it’s a pretty cool one. The Volkswagen Tristar is a “beefy pick-up with extended cab”, in VW’s own words, which mixes the toughness of the T Series pickups with the versatility of the future generation Transporter van.
Volkswagen Tristar uses a brand-new design language with sharp wrap-around lines, LED headlights and a wide and purposeful appearance at the front. It is quite a flexible vehicle and doesn’t compromise on functionality for the sake of looking interesting.
The Tristar is first and foremost a mover. Cargo can be distributed on two separate levels: there is a spacious, dust-proof and watertight drawer under the flatbed section, where a deep-tread spare tire is also housed.
One feature you don’t normally expect to see in a pickup truck is a 20-inch tablet table and state-of-the-art video conferencing and sound system fitted to the cabin of Volkswagen Tristar, which also comes with turning and sliding front seats and even an espresso machine. This is definitely our kind of pickup truck!
