Here we go ladies and gentlemen, this is the first special edition BMW M4, and it is a good one. Well, technically, this Lime Rock edition was the first, but this BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is a global model and it celebrates a very significant event.
This year, like last year, BMW crushed the competition at the German Touring Car Championship known as DTM. This was something BMW needed to celebrate, and since they are on the look out for excuses to release limited and special edition models, BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition was put together in a hurry and announced.
The celebratory M4 model will be limited to 23 units, paying homage to the championship winning race car number 23 driven by Marco Wittman. It comes only in Alpine white, garnished with matte black graphics and multi-color stripes which to be honest look kind of weird. The car is also equipped with the M Performance packages consisting of carbon fiber front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and boot lid wing, plus a set of 19-inch wheels. The grille is also blacked-out and features orange surround.
BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition benefits from an exclusive interior as well, featuring Alcantara-wrapped elements and carbon fiber inserts plus commemorative plaques and Wittman’s signature. Also part of the package is a free track day event in which BMW instructors will teach the art of driving like a pro.
