If you are a rich car enthusiast who is into track days and motorsport, chances are hotted-up super cars like the Ferrari 458 Speciale or Gallardo Superleggera won’t satisfy your need for speed. You need something a bit more serious, but not so serious that it kills all the fun. What you need is a McLaren 12C GT Sprint.
One such gentleman recently ordered a McLaren 12C GT Sprint through the company’s New Port Beach branch in the United States. He got the chassis number #12 in classic McLaren orange, and here’s a few live pictures of it giving you an up close and personal look at this awesome track toy.
Just to recap, McLaren 12C GT Sprint is a track-only version of the 12C, lightened and equipped with motorsport gear. It features a more aggressive front bumper, GT3-inspired bonnet with radiator exit ducts and front wing louvres, 40mm lowered suspension, track-focused braking system with carbon ceramic (CCM) brake discs, on-board air jacking system and centre-locking 19-inch OZ wheels, shod with Pirelli racing slick tires.
The Sprint also comes with an FIA-approved rollcage and integrated fire extinguisher system, fully adjustable HANS-approved, lightweight composite racing seat fitted with full six-point harness, air-conditioning system, race developed digital display and a McLaren GT developed steering wheel. The cost of the 12C Sprint is £200,000 or $320,000.
